Russian term

concrete shrinkage or contraction?

Is there any difference or are these terms interchangable?

�������� The Russian term in question is "��������". I have a feeling that the author of the source text is just trying to use fancy words instead of using conventional terminology such as "������".

agree Jack slep : During setting, concretecan shrink as much as 1% (initial shrinkage), but its subsequent hardening shrinkage is less. The hight the W/C ratio, the higher the shrinkage.
