Italian term

vite attacco basso

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks Contents of tool kit
The tool kit is used to cut the "decorative rear arch" of a luxury sports car. The only context available is as follows:

Avvitare la Vite attacco basso (0102 002 00) connettendo la Staffa fissaggio scocca (0102 011 04) al Rear Arch Estetico.

Could anyone hazard a guess as to what this screw is/is used for?

Thanks.

You don't need to hazard any guesses as to what it's used for. The text tells you it connects these two parts. Attaccare means to attach or fix.

Your client's explanation confirms my answer.
Note from asker:
Thanks but how do you understand "basso" in this context?
I was thinking that "basso" could refer to the type of screw and not to its position, and that "attacco" is a configuration rather than its purpose.
The client provided the following explanation, "vite del collegamento in basso". The Italian should be "vite di fissaggio inferiore"...
Yes it does, you were right. Thanks again.
