Medical (general)
Post operative monitoring
This means transit oeso-gastro-duodenale in French, and obviously the same in English, but I was wondering whether there is an equivalent English abbreviation? All the ones that I have tried so far do not get many or any hits on various search engines. Here it has been used in the context of a clinical record book for patients undergiong gastric ring surgery. Thankyou for your help!

Oeso-gastro-duodenal transit
This is a post-surgery exam.
Basically same thing in French and Englis, only the place of transit changes.

You can use an abbreviation; just include a footnote so you are sure that whoever will read the manual will know what you are talking about

Post-operative X-ray test for upper GI reflux
Chere Josephine,
I believe there is no equivalent abbreviation for TOGD in English. Basically the post-op TOGD is a test looking for a reflux of barium in the esophagus with the patient in Trendelenburg position.
I would translate it as "Post-operative X-ray test for upper GI reflux: positive/negative".
