Discussion

Gema Pedreda (asker) Feb 17, 2021:
AllegroTrans, according to the Cambridge, Collins and Merriam-Webster dictionaries, an organ is a subordinate group or organization that performs specialized functions, in this case an organ of government or an official organ. I know it is more common to say body, authority, unit, etc., but 'organ' is also correct :)
AllegroTrans Feb 17, 2021:
organ???
Gema Pedreda (asker) Feb 17, 2021:
Not exactly Hello Barbara, I found "fiscalía general de la nación" and "procuraduría general de justicia", but I don't know if this is the same organ, since I am not Mexican.

Note from asker:
Thank you, Nelson! I closed the question without grading because I found that it is the same body, only that they changed its name after a political reform ('fiscalía' instead of 'procuradoría'). Thanks in any case!
