Spanish term

reconocen en mayor porcentaje

Attempt:
A high percentage of people who consume...recognize
Thank you.

Discussion

Joseph Tein Jan 3, 2022:
mayor porcentaje Just to emphasize what Muriel said: you definitely need "highER" percentage because the researchers are comparing groups.

a higher percentage of ... acknowledge/state that ...

"Reconocer usually implies the idea of 'admit', 'confess', 'concede', but in this case I think it's important not to go that route because it might infer some kind of shame.

Also, it's important to say 'highER percentage'

In other words: 'finding that a higher percentage of people who use psychoactive substances acknowledge/state that at least one family member is at high risk for COVID-19 illness'.

agree Joseph Tein : I agree with this phrasing exactly. (Regarding "infer" some kind of shame ... did you not want to say "imply"?)
