German term

DFÜ Modem

I know what DFÜ stands for but I don't know what the equivalent modem is called in English. Any ideas?

modem

Datenfernübertragung

A modem (unqualified) is usually a telephone modem (PSTN/POTS) other versions such as ISDN Modem, ADSL Modem, radio modem exist, but in this context I suggest that in the absence of further information 'modem' would suffice.
