If "Koller" is a "Schulterpasse", it is called "yoke" in English. Just enter "yoke jacket" in Google to verify.

label
I've come across this before and had to check with the client. The answer was that a Koller is a label (i.e. those strips of fabric sewn into the garment indicating laundry instructions, etc) => Rückenkoller = label on the back, Vorderkoller = label on the front, or back label / front label.

in German a Koller can be a Wams,Halskragen or Schulterpasse; it is possibly a collar type of attachment for the protection of the wearer.
