Einfach ausgedrückt: abhängig davon, ob man das Gaspedal nur etwas zurücknimmt oder ganz lostlässt magert das ECM das Gemisch ab oder dreht dem Motor den Sprit komplett ab. Letzteres wird als Schubabschaltung bezeichnet. In dieser Situation ist ein fettes Gemisch natürlich ein fetter Fehler.
