Some additional examples of some additional easy-to-implement ideas that will move the
current development towards better environmental performance:
• Consider an option to allow for easy separation of households waste and recyclable
materials in garbage areas or garbage chutes.
• Composting of landscaping clippings on-site.
• Movement-controlled lighting for certain common areas.
• Addition of an internship program of visiting scholars/experts to assist with “greening”
the project
• A requirement to hose off the delivery trucks (particularly concrete) to prevent the
spreading of powdered pollutants throughout the city.
