During fast breaks and drives to the net you use a dribble called the speed dribble. To do this start running at a medium speed and push the ball several feet in front of you. Keep your head up to avoid running into people and to look for an open pass. Only go as fast as you can control. Practice this so that you can eventually run at your full speed and beat everyone on the fast break.
