The rotor is connected to the planetary gearbox PSD-Power Split Device which is put to motion by the thermal engine. The rotation generates a variation in the magnetic field (rotating magnetic field) where the three windings of the stator are immersed; this variation generates alternate current in the three windings which is sent to the inverter, which provides to stabilize and straighten the current for charging the batteries.
