I.Purposes and summary of the Polite and Considerate Public Services Campaign
For the public administration to win the further trust of the public, it is necessary to boost the awareness of each public servant of the need to improve administrative services and to achieve a kind, compassionate public administration. For this purpose, the Government, as pa of its administrative reforms and based on the 26 January 1988 Cabinet Decision Regarding the Polite and Considerate Public Services Campaign, has been condllcting a nationwide, ongoing Polite and Considerate Public Services Campaign in cooperation with the national and public corporations and local public entities
Each ministry and agency, as well as the public corporations, have established public facility usage services and other public services in their reception areas, where they come into contact with the public. They are working to improve administrative services by taking the following characteristics as their guides in conducting general inspections while listening to the voices of the public:
1) easily understandable, 2) convenient, 3) speedy,4) clean, 5) polite, 6) safe and 7) more concerned about human beings.
