I need help with the following sentence:

This particular pitch is as low as it can get and still be a strike, and as far from the batter as it can get and still be a strike. This makes it difficult for the batter to hit it. So this pitch is calculated to be really good for the one making the bid

I'm not sure how it would "translate" into real terms, but when a pitch "catches the lower outside corner", it is a strike (3 of them and the batter is out). So the pitch works for the pitcher (the one making the pitch or in this case, trying to sell.)

Just a thought: why don't you translate these metaphors by football (meaning soccer) metaphors? I believe this way they will be more understandable for PT readers.
