English term
will it feel moved
only when a team can confront that emotional reality will it feel moved to change. By acknowledging a shared sentiment as simple as” I don’t like how it feels around here” , a team makes a critical first step in the change process.
Jun 1, 2005 18:22: Robert Donahue (X) changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"
PRO (1): Balasubramaniam L.
When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

will the team feel motivated...
"I don't like the way it feels around here" = I feel uncomfortable in this situation / The atmosphere around here makes me feel uncomfortable etc. (working environment, relations with colleagues, etc.)

: I think 'moved' actually goes quite a bit further than 'ready'; maybe in the sense of 'prepared'...? /// Fair enough, but your suggestion could lead to a certain ambiguity that is not there in the original...

that's what I meant...they are ready...they are prepared for a change

the team will feel touched only if...; "I am not comfortable with the atmosphere here"

The team will be motivated to change only if it confronts that emotional reality.
\"I don’t like how it feels around here” means \"I am uncomfortable with the way things are\".
Hmm, not sure how to elaborate on that further!

persuaded; I don't like what I find here
I dont like how it feels around here = I don't like what I find here
not for grading-comment
Every business creates a an environment for their workers. That is "how it feels". Sometimes, only one employee feels that the situation is negative. However, when several SHARE that they are uncomfortable, that signals to many that the situation should change.
Often management does not realize that staff is unhappy/uncomfortable ( they don't hear the grumbling) until the workers form a group with similar demands/complaints.
