English term
A first interim distribution in specie of the company\'s interest
English to French

Finance (general)
liquidation SCI
Again it concerns the distribution of shares after the liquidation of a SCI. I have a difficulty translating the whole sentence as it happens with particular emphasis on the word "in specie"

In Specie - Investopedia

In specie is a phrase describing the distribution of an asset in its present form, rather than selling it and distributing the cash proceeds. In specie distributions are made when cash is not readily available or allocating the physical asset is a better alternative than distributing cash.
In specie transfers and contributions - what's the difference?

'In specie' is a Latin term meaning 'in the actual form'. Transferring an asset 'in specie' means to transfer the ownership of that asset from one person/company/entity to another person/company/entity in its current form, that is without the need to convert the asset to cash.

Germaine
: la distribution est libellée en £ (€ dans l'autre question). Donc, "in specie" = EN ESPÈCES/en numéraire (l'autre traduction du terme). En plus, ce texte est titré "Distribution of realizations" (= produit de la vente); voir cette question.// Relisez!

I diasagree: I read this a partial, direct transfer of an interest which is borne out by 'in specie'

: D'accord. Pour "interim" je pense qu'intermédiaire pourrait être meilleur que provisoire ici.

Distribution of realisations to shareholder
A first interim distribution in specie of the Company's interest in the property at xxx etc , equating to a distribution of € xx per ordinary share of €xx each.
https://www.proz.com/kudoz/english_to_french/law_general/647...
In specie: a phrase describing the distribution of an asset in its present form, rather than selling it and distributing the cash. In specie distribution is made when cash is not readily available, or allocating the physical asset is the better alternative.
