We continue to find many opportunities in continental Europe. In Japan, smaller stocks look the best value, and the Pacific (excluding Japan) remains a source of profit-taking. We favour Korea and Taiwan in the emerging markets. The telecommunications sector is good value and we have been taking profits in marine and machinery stocks following strong performance. We have increased our holdings in larger companies, as this area of the market has offered more buying opportunities.
