The results (I don't know what "résultats" refers to here; it may be 'earnings') would have been better in terms of (the company's) image and, under reserve of inventory, in terms of profits too.

That is, in terms of image and profits, the results would have been better. But profits are determined after taking inventory, which the author of this statement has either neglected or does not know.
