French term

en social

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Cette information n’est pas en social. Standing alone, without any context, in the comments column of a form. The text is to do with securities and equity capital. The two KudoZ glossary entries appear to have no bearing on this, although I may stand to be corrected.

Discussion

Maureen Wilkins (X) Dec 19, 2006:
It might mean en (capital) social, i.e. this equity/securities is not part of the company's registered capital. Just a possibility, I suggest asking the client.
Raymonde Gagnier Dec 18, 2006:
Can you give us some examples of the other words in the comments column? It might help...
Mark Nathan Dec 18, 2006:
Is this some kind of report or financial statement? Is the comment for the reader's information, along the lines of "this information has not been included in such and such category"? Just trying to get a handle on the context.
