French term

Droits constatés

French to English Other Finance (general) Property
Droits constatés : les droits constatés résultent de la constatation en comptabilité des droits acquis au cours de l'exercice lors de la réitération des termes des promesses de ventes par acte notarié.

Not really sure what these "droits" are.

From a glossary, which you can see at http://www.marne-la-vallee.com/index.php?id=5257&L=0

Actually, your link refers to 1° duties 2° that are accrued at the time of the engagement.
Madeleine's ref is referring to accrual basis of accounting as opposed to cash basis, which was so far the rule for public bodies.
Mark Nathan (asker) Sep 2, 2007:
Thanks for that link Madeleine. So these are "accruals" resulting from duties acquired when notaries formalize sales contracts.

Bonne chance!
Peer comment(s):

neutral rkillings : Too general -- doesn't specify what is being accrued. If you know these are 'duties' *payable in the future*, call them 'accrued duties'. Otherwise, 'constatés' merely means 'recognised' (in the accounts).
