French term

ouvrables/ouvrés

French to English Law/Patents Human Resources collective bargaining agreement
'Conformément à la réglementation, tout salarié ayant un an de travail effectif a droit à un congé payé
annuel de 30 jours ouvrables ou 25 jours ouvrés.'

What's the difference? Merci d'avance.
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): writeaway, mchd

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

business days

Business days describe the days excluding the weekend, therefore the 30 days vacation will not include the weekend
Example sentence:

1-2 jours ouvrables

1-2 business days

If you work for the whole year, the employer has the right to either grant you 30 "working days" leave (all days except for Sundays and days off due to strikes) or 25 days, which are the effective days in which the company is open for business (e.g. mon-fri). In these systems (it's pretty much the same in Italy) every day you come to work, you accumulate days of paid leave.

Note from asker:
Thanks, however I still don't understand - how can you have leave of 25 days worked?

workable . . . . [actually] worked

workable days as opposed to days actually worked

"workable" in the sense of days on which one can potentially and normally work (Monday-Friday) as opposed to days one has actually worked.

Reference:
