Correction: Retroxiphoid.
As I responded to Angela Dickson's correct comment, the xiphoid process is "processus xyphoideus" in medical latin. The alternate spelling of retroxyphoid does exist, but one should indeed write retroxiphoid.

yes, preferred spelling is XIPHOID for the xiphoid process. The medical latin is processus xyphoideus, whence my initial choice. But should be with "i" as you say. Thanks Angela !
