elemental sounds, banging

I'm not sure whether we're talking pre-fire here, but the superstition sounds pretty aboriginal, so conservatively, I'm postulating pre-bronze, but some kinds of tools.

the soung of a gong

This particular practice is discussed in many web pages. Apparently the sound was produced by a large cauldron (Gr. calkeion). Just a suggestion.

archiphony

My attempt at translating back into Greek; contains a whiff of 'cacophony' and 'archaism'. Whether it actually exists as a word I can't say.

primal sound

I'd say the Erz in Erzklang is related to arch rather than ore. Erzfeind, arch-father. Erz could be rendered as primal.

WHAT IS PRIMAL SOUND?
"Primal…..belonging to the first age or earliest stage: original; primitive, primeval". (Oxford Shorter Dictionary).

Abstract sound as defined by the Sufis 'Saute Surmad', means: the whole universe is filled with it. Sufis call the primal sound 'Saute Surmad', the tone that fills the cosmos. The frequencies of this tone are too fine to be seen with the eyes or heard with the ear...
These tones are also the base for a musical setting of a horoscope. Only when horos-cope music is in tune with these tones does it given a physically and musically true sound image of the given astronomical constellations.
