German term

Abflug

German to English Tech/Engineering Gaming/Video-games/E-sports computer racing game
I'm pretty sure this refers to a car (somewhat violently) leaving the track during a race. But I'm having a mental block. What the heck is that called?

"zur Verhinderung von Schaden bei einem Abflug".

Thanks very much for any help!

Sounds a bit laboured, but very frequently used, especially with reference to McLaren's Juan-Pablo Montoya...
I might have suggested "spin" but you can spin without leaving the track and risking damage.
