German term

Auslangen

German to English Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology) Electronic document delivery
I thought this was a typo at first, but I'm not so sure.

Text is Austrian speak and elsewhere "Einlangen" means arrival, apparently.

The context:
Erfolgt die elektronische Verständigung per SMS, so können die Inhalte abgekürzt werden, um mit einer SMS das Auslangen zu finden

Many thanks for some guidance.

Auslangen - means more or less \"make do with\".
Peer comment(s):

agree Klaus Herrmann : w/ make do with. Mit *einer* SMS is the important bit IMHO - When using SMS, you might as well use abbreviations so one SMS message will suffice.

Cheers Klaus - hope you are keeping well. You are absolutely right: the emphasis is on "einer".
