German term

EG-Richtlinien-Zulassung

German to English Law/Patents Medical: Dentistry Disinfectants
"Desinfektion: Mit einem Desinfektionsmittel mit ***EG-Richtlinien-Zulassung*** gemäß Gebrauchsanweisung des Desinfektionsmittelherstellers"

On another (very short) break from the marathon fridge job. An easy text, except for this one term. There are no search engine hits whatsoever for "EG-Richtlinien-Zulassung", and nor are there any for phrases like "EC directive authorisation" or "EC directive registration". Because the German term gets no hits either, I think it's an invention. But it can't be a complete fiction. It must have SOME meaning. But what would be the standard term in English? For that matter, I'd be interested to know what the German term is that should have been used here. TIA for your help.

Approval in accordance with EU directives

That's my understanding.

EU-Directives (EU-Richtlinien) bedürfen im Gegensatz zu EU-Regulations einer Umsetzung in bindende nationale Gesetze oder Verordnungen, wofür den Mitgliedstaaten eine definierte Frist eingeräumt wird.
