German term

Regulationsversagen

German to English Medical Medical (general)
In the sachverhalt of an Anklageschrift of an alleged murder (beating with a blunt instrument and strangulation).

" ...sodass diese (the victim) aufgrund dieser stumpfen Gewalt Haematome ... erlitt... Der Angeschuldigte, nach massiven Verletzungen am Hals verbunden mit Bruechen des Zungenbeins .... (and a lot more nasty injuries), durch Ersticken und einem damit verbundenen zentralen Regulationsversagen verstarb."

I am sure you will all appreciate the need to get this absolutely right. Your help would therefore be very much appreciated.

Discussion

transatgees (asker) Nov 5, 2007:
All that is missing from the second sentence is a list of very gruesome injuries associated with strangulation. Listing them, in my opinion, would not contribute to the understanding of the sentence.
Ingeborg Gowans (X) Nov 5, 2007:
could you please just quote the original without the English terms in between, so that we have a complete sentence? Thanks
