disagree eurotransl (X) : wrong - Ernst is not the proper dictionary for pharmaceutical topics.

Wrong your argument must have substance. I know full well what Ernst is. Try again!

"expiry date: ...." // "Best before ...."

I have done tons of pharmaceutical translations for the federal Canadian federal ministry of health.

Plus, all our drugs and medications are marked "epiry date" or "best before" (with the former being more common for pharma products).

Re: dictionaries

By the way, a good pharmaceutical dictionary is Bunjes (English <> German) - Ernst does not really deal with this subject matter in a reliable fashion.

Best Before End:

I have just had a look at a health tea I bought in Malta. It says "Best Before End: July 2002.

Kind Regards,

disagree eurotransl (X) : It should probably read "best before: end (of) July 2002 - Maltese English, oh boy ;-)

to be used

I assume the context to be:

Verwendbar bei Kopfschmerzen, Rückenschmerzen, usw.

My translation:

To be used for the relief of headache, backache, etc.

It could be verwendbar vor/nach/während/in Verbindung mit ...

TO BE USED would still apply, I think.

:-)
