German term

Bundesehrenzeichen

German to English Other Other Awards
"Für ihr langjähriges Engagement wurde sie 1988 mit dem Bundesehrenzeichen des Bundes ausgezeichnet."

"Medal of Honour" is usually military. This is a commercial award. Plain old "federal decoration" seems a little bit thin.

ANy ideas?

Österreich I forgot to say, this is a text from Austria. There are similarities, but maybe also differences.

Bundes-Ehrenzeichen (Austrian federal order of merit)

I think that like the Order of the British Empire or the Légion d'Honneur, this should remain untranslated, with an English explanation if necessary.

It's two words, and it's a small trophy rather than a medal, though you are allowed to wear a miniature version.

agree hazmatgerman (X) : Sounds the most probable one so far.
