According to my picture (the Regionalbibliothek Neubrandenburg), it is a sort of canopy, an extension of the actual roof. A very stylish steel and glass construction, bent along 2 axes, so it does look like it was about to take off.
I have found shed roof in an online glossary, which is however translated back as Pultdach somewhere else... and this looks nothing like a shed!!

The second choice might work better if your roof has two different pitches.
Double-pitch ramped roof might also work. Or, single-pitch, ramped roof.
