Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): writeaway

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

kashew Sep 2, 2008:
Shrink no! Hands-on yes but well-qualified. Maybe SPECIALIST/THEORETICIAN is more appropriate for you.
Eszter Bokor (asker) Sep 2, 2008:
The question is whether he really is a therapist - wouldn't this imply that he is some sort a psychologist? In the German world "Pädagoge" is either a teacher, or mostly people who deal with education and learning on a theoretical level. "Therapist" sounds to me as a rather hands-on person, a "shrink" to take the pejorative word. Someone who actually treats patients. Or am I mistaken?

play worker

I was a voluntary play worker in the UK (official title), which implies that the focus is on play in the context of education, learning playfully together etc. unlike play therapy which is a type of child-oriented psychotherapy ('Spieltherapie'), developed by Anna Freud and Melanie Klein (see link).
Peer comment(s):

disagree sallyw : Play worker sounds a bit amateur. Spielpaedagogen are highly qualified. Play therapist is better.

agree Veronika McLaren : Are only children involved, since the focus seems to be on child psychology in the answers?
