"Angst" would capture well the "ansia" (anxiety + apprehension) triggered by vengeful thoughts.

"Temper" implies both "to placate" or "apease" and to "to cause to be well disposed", so it would be a good choice for "si placa", I believe.

You could even freely use the word "anguish" even though the word is ansia: anxiety. In spiritual or religious matters, anguish carries more fervor.
