Italian term

comandi di gruppo

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng Lighting scheme for archaeological site
Context is report on archaeological site, specifically the electricity supply and management of the electrical grid:
Whole sentence reads as follows:
"L'impianto elettrico sara' realizzato con tecnologia a Bus EIB a programmazione semplificata (comandi di gruppo, generali, multifunzione)" [sic]

I know a 'gruppo elettrogeno' is a term describing a generator, but I'm not sure this is what they are talking about. I also considered 'group controls' in the sense of a single control panel being used for multiple devices. I guess I'm just not sure what is meant here.
So any input gratefully received.
Thanks, James

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks. I've used this basic idea, although I phrased it slightly differently. General internet seacrches on EIB systems suggested that this was a feature. Sorry I can't be a bit more specific, re. references, but I'm on holiday now, and my computer isn't."
