Italian term

metrini

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering Packaging Machine
Hi everyone!
My brain is on the fritz today. Any ideas for this one? It's in a heading in a user manual for a shrink-wrap bundler (sleave wrapper) following a whole bunch of settings for the machine.

The only context I have is:
1.19 IMPOSTARE LE VELOCITA' MACCHINA
1.20 TEMPO DI SALDATURA
1.21 CONFIGURAZIONE METRINI

There are no sub-headings or other details.
TIA!

Reply from the customer Well, they tell me its an "asta graduata" so: measuring rod, measuring stick, meter, or other?
Dr Lofthouse Nov 3, 2009:
I think I'd translate it as 'measurements' - only ghit I got was for a sub-aqua diving forum, where the moderator used 'metrini' as 'depth in metres'- you would 'configure the measurements' ie set them, which would fit <http://www.poverosub.com/forum5/viewtopic.php?t=12927&start=...
Kimberly Wastler (asker) Nov 2, 2009:
More context! Now I've got another mention of it later in the manual:
In the section on production:
"Visuallizza la pagina di configurazione dei metrini"
Kimberly Wastler (asker) Nov 2, 2009:
Possible... This might be, although there's a whole section dedicated to the "film paramters" that includes the overlap, offset, and length of film to be cut.
Dr Lofthouse Nov 2, 2009:
is there an adjustable 'sealing length' (assumings its a heated bar-type arrangement)??

rulers?

Hi, growing up in italy I have always used that word as a diminutive meaning "little rulers" as in the ones you usually have in your bookbag. It is such a common word that it is plausible that it might have been used in a manual. Now i am just guessing, but maybe the machine has rulers that need allignment to fit the size of what is being shrinkwrapped. I hope this made sense...
