Italian term

ser

Italian to English Medical Medical (general) emocromo
In a table for complete blood test results, the last column says "Metodo (big gap) Ser" for which the values are either "Chimica liquida" or "Cont. automat." "Ser" scould be an unused final column...

all columns
Analisi Eseguite Risultato Un.Mis. Intervallo di riferimento Metodo Ser
GLICEMIA 135Valore verificato mg/dl 70,0 - 105,0 Chimica liquida

Any knowledgeable help would be much appreciated

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I'm not sure we've come to a conclusion, but this sounds the most likely of the three answers, all of which I think are reasonable hypotheses - the only problem (or is it a blessing?) is that they were my original hypotheses too... at least that is confirmation I was thinking along similar lines and not missing anything obvious! Thanks to all three"

serum

Glucose values come from analyzing the blood serum. If all the other components listed in the table also come from the serum, this could be a possibility. If the values are for things like red blood cells or white blood cells then Ser is probably not serum.
