E' stato effettuato un cateterismo distale della mascellare interna, con posizionamento della punta del microcatetere nel segmento terminale a livello della fossa pterigoidea, e dell'arteria facciale, a valle delle labiali inferiori, per evitare la chiusura dei *vasi portanti* ed il rischio di ischemia locale dei tessuti nonchè la necrosi della mucosa.
