Si tratta di un testo del 1800 che descrive una fortezza:
" “… a destra della via principale, cioè della parte del mare, ecco un palazzo robusto, quadrato, che ricorda il Cinquecento. Le quattro sue facce sono rotte con una certa burbanza dallo spingere di quattro torri angolari, salienti a mezza scarpa del terreno alle prime cornici, forse per dargli aspetto di fortilizio antico".
