Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Apr 7, 2005:
Thanks to everyone. Alas, my passage is a quote in my document from another document. So, I have no other context to offer, except that this lawsuit is a dispute over breach of contract. In a legal context, is "risolvere" tantamount to dissolving a contract?
Vittorio Preite Apr 7, 2005:
The cause of this "effetto" remains hidden earlier in the phrase. Without the whole phrase we are all guessing. Sorry.
Charles Lucas Apr 6, 2005:
Is there something missing here? I would expect "per l'effetto di qualcosa..."
Non-ProZ.com Apr 6, 2005:
So, I could just say "to declare decided the contract as being between X and Y", with no mention of "effect"?
Vittorio Preite Apr 6, 2005:
even with this much context it means very little.
