Not necessarily. I'm looking for the most suitable translation as well because I've decided to translate the song myself, more or less as a labor of love. And, as you yourself indicated below, the Russian abbreviation fully "folded-out" isn't all that perfect for the song anyway. So, I'm looking over all of the responses I get to see which one seems better suited for that "Vysotsky" effect. The song, by the way, is called "Darkness" and it's one of my favorite.

It was a guess because I was unclear of the context. If it had been a 5-letter abbreviation,
I would have been more sure (fewer possibilities).

мы вообще стихи переводим или протокол коммунхоза? :-) кроме того консьерж в некоторых городах выполняет функции управдома или жэка.
