round up (head 'em up! move 'em out! Rawhide. Clint Eastwood featured in this series where rough and ready cowboys rounded up heads of cattle and drove them across the great plains… ) . Round off is the term generally used for used for truncating the leasr relevant digits of a number or of roughly converting to the next unit. ie. 40 mins = 1 hr.

agree Noni Gilbert Riley : And rounding up implies that you are not always going to the nearest minute, but UP to the next minute... With the conversion from ptas to euros, rounding up where unnecessary was supposed to be illegal ... ;-)
