El término liberalidad significa que es otorgado en forma gratuita y sin ninguna contraprestación.
No puede ser sólo discrecional porque a continuación dice que ha sido acordado por las partes, o sea, lo opuesto.
Es importante explicar que es sin contraprestación, porque el empleador puede cesar su otorgamiento cuando lo crea necesario. Si no fuera una liberalidad, se vería obligado a seguir otorgándolo.
