Spanish term

Procurador General del Estado

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Ecuador/Government structure
Can anyone tell me how the term in reference and Fiscal General del Estado can be translated?

Sorry to ask about two terms but if considered separately most references I have found suggest the same translation for both terms.

Can anyone who knows about how these entities are structured help me out?

Many thanks!

Attorney General

Good explanation here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attorney_general

I would use "public attorrney" for "fiscal general".

Civil law jurisdictions have similar offices, who may be variously called "procurators", "advocates general", "public attorneys", and other titles. Many of these offices also use "attorney general" or "attorney-general" as the English translation of the title, although because of different historical provenance the nature of such offices is usually different from that of attorneys-general in common law jurisdictions
