I'd keep it in the singular and perhaps paraphrase the sentence a little: The island is a very important cultural and natural heritage. Not sure how to get 'landets' into the equation without it sounding awkward, though.

cultural and natural landmarks
some cultural landmarks may be more "historical" or even "ancient", but given that only the word Kultur is used, maybe one has to use it in the translation. "Monuments" could also be used for minne, but seems less appropriate when you have the natural ones included - some of those in Sweden are actual trees.
