Hello everybody!

I've been contacted by a potential client who is asking me if I'm willing to accept working with them (OK) and my price for translations (OK) plus my "price for quality assurance".

I've never heard about it and I don't really know what to answer to the client. What's this?

Could they simply mean your rates for proofreading (assuring the quality of other people's work rather than your own)?

I think Clare is right. QA = Quality Assurance is a management concept - unusual and a bit funny to be used here.
