Dear Edinburgh translators and friends,
We’re lucky to have the Edinburgh Fringe festival to enjoy again this summer, and with that comes an opportunity for a fabulous translators’ night out.
As many of you may already know, my fellow Powoww organizer Julian Wagstaff is producing a show on the Fringe this year. It is a one-hour set of highlights from the operas, musicals and chamber music he has written (in his 'other life' as a composer) over the last 15 years or so. It runs from 25-28 August at 8.30pm in St. Mark's Church, Castle Terrace, just off Lothian Road. Full details can be found at www.songtome.co.uk.
Some of us are planning to go listen and support Julian’s work on Friday the 28th of August. There will be an after-show party from 10pm at Bar Akva at Fountainbridge.
Any translators who fancy coming along to the show would be most welcome at the party too. If you would like to come along, please buy your ticket directly from the Edinburgh Fringe website, and sign up to this Powwow here on Proz. And please update your status to confirm whether you are coming or not so we have an idea of numbers for the party.
