Latvian Parliament passes broadcast language law

Latvian parliament has passed a revised version of the broadcast language law that President Valdis Zatlers vetoed, with the new version including his intended changes.

The bill requires that broadcast media include at least 65% of its content in the national language. The bill was met with harsh criticism from the Russian foreign ministry.
