hi all,
I graduate in 3 months and would LOve (and really need) to start working straight away.
I translate from German/Spanish to English. I want to work in Germany.
If anyone could point my in any direction where i could apply for an in-house position anywhere in GErmany, i would be very appreciative.

Maybe you could try on SDL or Lionbridge. They both have offices in Germany.

You could check www.bdue.de, the website of the Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer. They currently have 8 job offers on their site.

The software manufacturer SAP (based near Heidelberg) is often on the lookout for new in-house translators. Members of the central translation department generally visit language departments at UK universities in the run up to the exam period.

The work involves translating software interfaces and user documentation and training is provided when you start.

I know SAP in Galway are recruiting DE-EN translation graduates.
You may be sent over to Germany for training, but I don't know for sure.
