Hello, all linguists! urgent question:

I need to know what to charge for a day of interpreting and translating a website at client's office.

Thank you all!

Nina

These are two different assignments Aug 22, 2006

There are charges for interpretation and charges for translation, afterall they are two different aspects of the industry.

Did the client specify how much time is to be paid to interpreting? Or is it just whenever you are needed in between the website work? Your best best is to chrage two separate rates for each assignment-regardless of whether it is at the client's office or elsewhere.

Get more details and get a P.O. or a contract.

Charge per hour Aug 23, 2006

Charge them per hour for interpreting, and per word (or however you normally do it) for translating.
