This certainly took a lot of patience, but it's quite funny:

Excellent! Aug 9, 2006

I've had a few similar e-mails to a free Internet e-mail account I sometimes use (it's mainly full of trash these days). I deleted them immediately, but there must be people out there who are gullible enough to fall for this ... It made for a very entertaining read!

Great photo ID Aug 9, 2006

Brings to mind convicts holding up ID placards for their photo sessions.

But the girl imprisoned in this eternal image may not be the actual culprit for if the trickster is smart, he/she can easily get someone to pose for the photo.

Nevertheless it is an amusing story, whether made up or actual.

419 fraud update Aug 10, 2006

BBC News website, 6 August 2006:

"... one man from the US had ended up paying $2.1m after been conned in this way."

"... the fraudster was eventually caught in Nigeria and sentenced to 342 years in jail."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/5245742.stm

PS The above extracts were copy-pasted from the BBC website.

"... after been conned in this way" is apparently what passes for "BBC English" nowadays!
