Feathering specifies a width in pixels (0 to 200) that the selection is faded along the edges. When you move or paste the selection, feathering helps blend the selection into the surrounding area and makes it appear more natural. The higher the Feather value, the softer the edges. Set the width to 0 to create a selection with no feathering and distinct edges.

cosi' da usare sfumatura nell'altro caso.
Non si puo' usare sfumatura in entrambe perche' sono diverse, cosi' mi sono inventato questa alternativa.

: esattissimo, come pure la nota di Stefano sul fatto che si riferisce ai pixel del bordo della sfumatura.

Grazie Stefano. È importante quel "con" - più che selezione "della" sfumatura, è la selezione che si estende oltre il bordo effettivo a causa della sfumatura del bordo (infatti dicono di ampliare il canvas, quadro in Photoshop, area attorno all'immagine
