En los casos bien definidos de obras y servicios de X, podemos, dejando el mes, contratar a subcontratados mediante contratos por obra y servicio (se da por hecho que nos referimos a obras diferentes entre X y la subcontrata).

I don't understand what is meant by "subcontrata" above.
Do they mean the subcontract itself, or the subcontractor / subcontracting company (subcontratista) or the person subcontracted to do the work (subcontradado)? Obviously, it doesn't say subcontratado or subcontratista but there are mistakes throughout this text!

"...entre X y la subcontrata" = between X [a company] and the subcontractor/subcontracted party
